Sales/Client Relations:

Currently seeking an experienced, motivated, goal oriented sales professional to be responsible for the profitable sales of our cleaning service on vertical transportation equipment. We specialize in hoist-way/shaft-way cleaning, and patching, car-top and pit cleaning, motor room makeovers, patching, clean-outs, and more. We do not offer mechanical maintenance. The Service Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and soliciting new accounts to generate profitable, sustainable business; teaming with operations on project management activities including surveying, estimating, purchasing, invoicing and job status meetings; coordinating with the company executive to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously; partner with president to prepare detailed project proposals; presenting proposals to consultants and building owners; and responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; and performing additional job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

The chosen candidate must have the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, consultants, building management and owners is required. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential. Also, excellent customer service, project management and sales lead/generation skills. Strong written & oral communication skills and good computer skills including MS Office are necessary.

Candidates must meet at least one of the first four bullets of criteria to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; prefer an emphasis in Sales, Business and/or Marketing
  • Four years of professional sales experience, preferably in a construction-related industry
  • Possess at least 2 years Elevator sales support experience
  • Possess at least 5 years other Elevator experience.
  • Must have the ability to meet Deadlines, Negotiation, Problem Solving Skills, Provide Customer Service, Time Management, Understand Complicated Verbal & Written Instructions, Use Conflict Resolution Techniques, Use Interpersonal Communication Techniques, Use Oral or Written Communication Techniques
  • Knowledge in – Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word as you may need to create your own spread sheets, or presentations
  • Must have some form of a client list/roster of property and building mgmt companies. Having ties with other elevator companies is a plus as we are sub-contractors to ALL shops
  • Knowledge of NYC & NJ

Office Manager (Accounting/Bookkeeping):

We are seeking an office manager / bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have experience with, general ledger accounting experience, the ability to make month end journal entries and accrual, financial statement preparation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with computer skills are needed. You need to be organized, resourceful, and reliable with accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing office supplies, and managing a small office environment. In addition candidate’s responsibilities will include all human resources responsibilities.

  • Perform office manager functions, Balance ledgers and prepare financial reports
  • Enter orders and create invoices for customers
  • Job costing
  • Make journal entries and reconcile bank statements
  • Be detail-oriented, organized, and self motivated
  • Knowledge of Excel to create complex spread sheets with macros and look up tables
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and leave of absence.
  • Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Perform payroll functions
  • Develop strategies for new position hires: including salary, job title, job description
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

Preferred Education: Associates Degree

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with advanced computer skills are needed. You need to be organized and resourceful with the ability to work independently or in a small group

  • 3 years minimum of prior bookkeeping experience required
  • Knowledge of Construction or Elevator Industry is a plus!
  • Must be proficient in Quickbooks and MS Office
  • Must be dedicated and hardworking
  • Must be able to take projects and run with it
  • Must be able to multitask, handle responsibility, and prioritize effectively

Laborer/Field Employee:

We are seeking a goal oriented entry level candidate to work in the cleaning sector of vertical transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience with, general cleaning, use of degreasers and cleaning solutions, painting, and have a restoration mindset.

Job functions:

  • Perform motor room cleanouts and degreasing
  • Painting of elevator machines
  • Painting of walls & floors
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more and carry for at least 20 feet
  • Perform hoistway cleaning by use of vacuums, cleaners, and scrapers
  • Be able to work with electricity
  • Be able to work with high powered tools and equipment
  • Be able to adapt to loud working environments
  • Be able to work on rooftops, basements, small spaces, and work on moving objects
  • Knowledge of New York/New Jersey is a must
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from jobs
  • Must possess a valid drivers license for NY or NJ and have no pending violations, DWI’s or DUI’s.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and pass background check

Preferred education: High School Diploma, Associates degree, or minimum 5 years experience in the construction field

Must be over the age of 25

Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with understanding company politics. You need to be organized and resourceful with the ability to work independently or in a small group.
